How to be Heard: Giving Effective Feedback

Here at Tungle, feedback has always been important to us as we built and continue to enhance Tungle.me.

And it’s important to you too. It’s how your experiences and ideas are heard. It’s your opportunity to have a voice in the future of Tungle. And it’s how you get your questions answered.

Because of that, it’s important to give effective feedback so we know exactly what you’re experiencing and can help you as quickly as possible.

Here are a few tips for giving effective feedback:

Tell Your Story

What do you want to do? How will you use the feature you’re requesting, or what situation caused you to want a feature removed or changed?

If you’re reporting a problem, what were you doing when you encountered the problem? How were you expecting it to work?

The Details

When asking a question or reporting a problem, the details are important.

For example, what type of calendar are you using? Browser type? Operating system? If you received an error message, what did the message say? Did you encounter this problem on the web, or on a mobile device?

The more, the better.

Focus on ‘What’ not ‘How’

Unless you have a passion for figuring out “How” – then we’re all ears :)

If that’s not your thing, just tell us what you want to do, or what you’re experiencing. Forget about figuring out the How – that’s our job.

You should feel comfortable sharing your feedback. Don’t feel you have to get technical. It’s not for everyone.

Show It

A picture is worth a thousand words. It helps us understand your point of view – literally. When asking a question, sharing an idea or reporting a problem about a specific part of Tungle, include a screenshot so we know exactly what you’re looking at.

Note on Privacy

When you post on the Tungle Community it is public for others to see. This is great because you’re helping to build a knowledge base for others to find answers, join conversations and build on ideas.

However, we encourage you to always keep your own privacy in mind. If you’re posting a screenshot, blur or black out anything you don’t want others to see.

Don’t post your email address, phone number or other personal contact information publicly.

If you do need to share any private information with us, simply email support[at]tungle.com.

Is there any way to change the settings to remove all the hassle in scheduling a meeting (proposing multiple times, locations, multiple people, email confirmation)? I would like to control the settings since all the people scheduling appointments are 1-on-1 with me in my office.
    Thanks

    • Erin says:

      Hi Ry,

Could you elaborate on how you’d like to control it? At the moment, what you can control is:

      - The minimum number of proposed times (the min. number of time slots someone must propose when requesting a meeting through your profile page)
      - The minimum and maximum duration of proposed meetings
      - The amount of advance notice you need
      - Suggested locations

You’ll find the first three under Public Profile > Edit availability (advanced settings), and suggested locations under Public Profile > Edit suggested locations.

      Does that help?

      Best,

      Erin

i just want a calendar in my playbook, why do I have to sign up to be able to use the calendar? I do not want to sync to anything just to be able to enter entries

    thanks

    • Erin says:

      Hi Jo,

The full Tungle app is built as an add-on to existing calendars. While currently with the PlayBook app you’re limited to viewing your calendar, the calendars of those you share with and getting insights into the people and companies you’re meeting with, the full Tungle application on the web has scheduling capabilities that allow you to easily find times to meet with others, inside or outside your company.

That’s why today, the PlayBook app is designed as an extension of your existing calendar.

That said, we do plan on bringing more calendar-like functionality to both the web app and mobile apps down the road. Stay tuned for phase 2.

      Best,

      Erin

Is there anyway to easily add padding to the meetings?
I.e. If someone books a 1 hour meeting and it’s offsite, how can I easily block out the 15 min prior and 15 min for travel?

    • Erin says:

This is something we’ve been working on. For now, the only way to do it would be to manually add buffer times to your calendar.

I would love to be able to access my Tungle on my toolbar. I visit pages for networking event and when I see an interesting event , I have to copy and paste to my calender

  5. I would love to be able to set my availability based on location. I schedule meetings in blocks around town. On Mondays I take phone appointments. Tuesdays I will be in one area of town. Wednesdays a different area, etc… I need to be able to add these details to my availability so I am not running all over a large metropolitan area and can let my requestors know where I’ll be taking appointments on a given day.

      Hi Nicole,

I love this idea, and it’s actually one that we’ve been looking into. It is on our list to provide, but I don’t have a timeline for it yet. Most likely, it will be later this year. We’ll try to keep everyone posted as we move forward. Thanks so much for sharing, Nicole!

      Best,

      Erin

We’re asking for an android appena tor more then a year and you’re still talking about feedback?

    • Erin says:

      Hi Federico,

We understand it’s been a while, and we really appreciate everyone’s patience. We wish we had it for you today, but have hit some development delays in testing. You will be the first to know when the app is ready for prime time.

      Best,

      Erin
