Hi Chery,

What you could do is send each attendee a private meeting invitation. Each invitation would propose a meeting (you can set the duration, however, we only support 15 min increments at the moment - would 15, or 30 mins work?) to happen sometime during your 2 hour time slot. As one person books a slot, that slot is automatically removed from everyone else's invitation (since it's no longer available).

You create a private meeting invitation by signing into Tungle.me, clicking "Schedule a meeting" and following the steps.

Does this sound like it would work for you?

Best,

Erin

Just a bit more feedback. I would love to see more flexible time increments or for you to allow me to set my own meeting duration. For example, in a few weeks I will need 3 20-minute meetings with 3 attendees each back to back for two hours. What I need is a way to open these 20 minute time slots and allow attendees to choose which they will attend. The time slots aren't the flexible part. Who can attend is the flexible part. Perhaps I'm Tungle.me-challenged, but I see no way to accomplish this in a Tungle calendar at the moment.

Netflix knows when I watched a movie (well, it doesn't because I'm in Europe, but you get the point) and I can add that information to my calendar, “explain” the 20 min of pause in the middle of _Casablanca_ with data about my phone calls and end up with very interesting insights on what makes me want to watch comedy (tough days with too many meetings) and what makes me want to watch classics (that my friend the movie buff is available).

This example illustrates how a calendar could be about analysis, prediction as much as agreeing on future plans. I'd love a calendar that could tell me: “Honestly, you'll be too tired then to have so many meetings. Take a break, away—that week-end. I'll block your wife's calendar too.“

Finally, I love the idea that a modern calendar demands to break the silos — it's strikingly true when you want to turn Tungle into a journal, able to fetch data from RescueTime. However, my address book, my maps, also need that: your manifesto could appeal to have more than calendars, because it also makes sense for other essential information displays.
